Jackpot

I lie quite still and silent and listen to you breathe

It’s something truly wonderful I struggle to believe

How I, who is not worthy, ends up lying by your side

It’s something truly magical, that cannot be denied

Somewhere within my past, when I didn’t hesitate

I rolled the dice and played the cards and somehow it was fate

You and I together was the jackpot in the game

My life from that day on would never be the same

It’s in the quiet times when the world is all asleep

The magnitude of things gone past into my mind they creep

I come back to the present and I’m trying not to move

As if somehow me keeping still again my love does prove

But this sacrifice of mine, whilst miniscule I know

To you my sleeping beauty, again my love does show

I know you’re not aware of this story in the dark

Even though you are the one who added kindle to the spark

There you go that’s all there is, a simple thing to do

Me lying quiet in the dark, another ode to you

A Love Told In Film

By Leo Stone

Against All Odds we fell in love

Thank God and stars above

Risky Business though it is

We shared a special magic kiss

Our lives were joined through Sliding Doors

What’s yours is mine, what’s mine is yours

Involved with Serendipity, it did what fatum does

It made us feel a special kind of truly magic buzz

Stardust had been sprinkled and the stars they had aligned

The Gods agreed this was indeed, a very special find

They said it would be right enough to be a Wonderful Life

And yes indeed it was decreed that we’d be man and wife

Up there in the heavens and not in Notting Hill

They decided that our lives with love, they now would truly fill

It’s Complicated though, sometimes within this world

Each other’s arms is the place where we should stay all tightly curled

We could get Sleepless in Seattle, or go and Meet Joe Black

But together here at home, we should always hurry back

So through life’s rough and tumble, like Marley & yes Me

Never let the both of us, forget Love Actually

An Officer and A Gentleman, I always try to be

And a Pretty Woman is, what you’ll always be to me

And whilst Paying It Forward, don’t overcook our goose

We always must remember, it began with old Footloose

All The Way

By Leo Stone

The sun it shines so brightly

The moon reflects upon the lake

But a marriage strong and good as ours

Only you and I could make

There are times when we’ll be happy

There are times when we’ll be sad

But as long as we’re together

My heart will be so glad

Each morning as I see your face

I once again realise

I have in life a special one

The greatest sort of prize

Each moment that I spend with you

Is one I can’t replace

Everything in life, that I could want

Is there within your face

The times we are together

Each second, every day

It goes deeper in my soul

That I love you all the way
