All submissions must be your own original work. You must hold the full rights to the content and be legally entitled to share it for publication. By submitting, you confirm that your work has not been copied from others.
We celebrate human-made creativity and do not accept any work created, in whole or in part, by AI tools, chatbots, or image generators. We’re interested in the human touch—writing, artwork, and music crafted with care, creativity, and personal expression. Submissions must be entirely your own original creation.
Submissions must not defame any individual, group, or organisation. We will not accept content that promotes hate, discrimination, violence, or harassment in any form.
By submitting work to Fun Lovin Liminals, you:
Retain full copyright and moral rights to your work (including the right to be identified as the creator and to object to derogatory treatment).
Grant us a non-exclusive worldwide licence to publish your work in print, online, on social media, and in promotional materials linked to the magazine’s vision and mission. We will never sell, alter, or reproduce your work for commercial gain outside these uses.
Exclusivity period: We ask for exclusive rights to publish the submitted work for one month after its appearance in our magazine. After this time, you are free to publish it elsewhere.
Editing rights: We may edit for style, grammar, length, and clarity while respecting the integrity of your work and your moral rights.
Withdrawal rights: You may request removal of your work from our website or future print issues by emailing us before publication or in cases of legal or agreed concerns.
Permissions: If your submission includes recognisable people, performances, or samples (e.g., in music), it is your responsibility to secure appropriate permissions.
Warranties: By submitting, you confirm that the work is your original creation, that you have the rights to grant this licence, and that it does not infringe on third-party rights or breach Scots law on defamation or other legal matters. You agree to indemnify Fun Lovin Liminals against any legal claims resulting from a breach of these warranties.
Payment: As a new, unfunded magazine, we cannot offer payment for submissions at this time.
We reserve the right to edit submitted work for clarity, grammar, or formatting – but any substantial changes will be discussed with you first. We also reserve the right not to publish work that doesn’t meet our criteria or values.
We may publish work anonymously or under a pseudonym if requested. Personal data collected during the submission process will only be used to contact you about your submission and will not be shared with third parties.
By submitting your work, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we handle your personal data in accordance with Scottish law and GDPR. Please read it carefully before submitting.
By submitting, you confirm you are over 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian if under 18.
